To Perform a Lifting or a Lowering Analysis
1. Click Manikin > Lifting or Lowering Analysis > Lifting or Lowering (NIOSH91) Analysis or Manikin > Lifting or Lowering Analysis > Lifting or Lowering (Snook) Analysis. The relevant Lifting/Lowering dialog box opens.
2. Select a manikin.
3. From the Initial posture list, select an initial posture for the manikin.
4. From the Final posture list, select a final posture.
5. Type or select values for the parameters relevant to the analysis type:
NIOSH
Frequency—Lift or lower per unit of time.
Grasp quality—How securely the load can be held.
Duration—Length of time the load is lifted or lowered.
Weight—Weight of load.
Snook
Frequency—Lift or lower per unit of time.
Weight—Weight of load.
6. Click Compute.
7. Review the results.
8. Save the analysis or add it to the Model Tree as a feature.
