About Simulating Reaching
You can simulate a reach of the active manikin towards a target without manually changing its posture, segment by segment.
Reach—For the manikin's hands, feet, or fingertips that constrains the manikin segment to an element of the product geometry. You can create reach constraints between the manikin’s segment and a point, a point and a plane (orientation), or a point and two planes (fully constrained). After you have defined the reach, you can save it as a snapshot in the Manikin Tree.
Reach envelope—Shows the area that a person can reach while sitting or standing during a task.
