1. Define the active annotation orientation before creating the first annotation in any session.

2. Click Annotate > Dimension. The Select Reference dialog box opens. Select Select a surface.

3. Select two surfaces to measure the distance or angle between them. After you select the second surface, Creo Parametric creates and places the reference dimension.
