About XY- and Z-directions
The XY-direction is defined as a curve on the attachment surface, parallel to the annotation plane of the surface finish, and passing through the current point of attachment of the surface finish on the surface. The next figure shows the XY-direction curve.

The Z-direction is defined as a curve normal to the XY-direction curve and passing through the intersection of the attachment surface and a plane passing through the attachment point of the surface finish. The next figure shows the Z-direction curve.
