To Specify Axis Orientation for a Tool Motion
In 4- or 5-Axis NC sequences, you can specify the tool axis orientation for certain types of Tool Motions by using the Specify Axis button.
1. Click Specify Axis in the appropriate dialog box for creating a Tool Motion.
2. On the USE AXIS menu, click Define.
3. Create or select a datum axis. The tool axis during the Tool Motion will be parallel to the selected axis. If the specified axis orientation is not valid, the system will issue an error message.
To revert to the default axis orientation, use the Remove command on the USE AXIS menu.
