To Create a Helical Approach Tool Motion
With this tool motion you can make the tool approach a tool motion along a helix.
1. On the Trajectory, Face, or Profile tab, select Helical Approach in the Tool Motions list. The Helical Approach dialog box opens. The dialog box contains the following options:
2. Reference cut collector—Displays the referenced cut name.
3. Entry Angle—Define the angle of the helical approach motion.
4. Clear Distance—Control the height of the helical approach motion.
5. Normal Lead Step—Set the length of the straight segment normal to the approach motion.
6. Lead Radius—Specify the radius of the arc.
7. Click Parameters to edit the tool motion parameters using the Edit Parameters dialog box.
8. Click OK to create the approach motion, or click Cancel to cancel.
