To Search a Command
1. Click the . A box appears next to .
2. Type a command name in the box. As you start typing, the commands that match the string are listed along with their respective icons (if available) under the following categories:
Commands—All the commands on the ribbon, File menu, Quick Access toolbar, and Graphics toolbar. Excluding mapkeys and TOOLKIT commands.
SolidWorks® commands—All the SolidWorks commands and their corresponding Creo commands.
Mapkeys—All the mapkeys on the ribbon or Quick Access toolbar.
TOOLKIT commands—All the TOOLKIT commands on the ribbon and Quick Access toolbar.
Commands not in the ribbon—All the commands not included in the ribbon.
Mapkeys not in the ribbon—All mapkeys which are not on the ribbon and Quick Access toolbar.
A Setup button is displayed at the end of the list.
3. Place your pointer over a command in the list. Creo Parametric displays the command tooltip and a preview of the command location on the interface. The location is indicated by a different background color.
4. Do one of the following steps:
Click a command in the list to execute it and close the list.
To close the list without executing a command, click in the search box.
To refine search, do the following.
1. Click Setup. The Command Search Settings dialog box opens.

You can also open the Command Search Settings dialog box by right-clicking the box next to and clicking Setup.
2. Specify search criteria.
Commands — Select to search for commands on the ribbon, File menu, Quick Access toolbar, and Graphics toolbar. Excluding mapkeys and TOOLKIT commands.
SolidWorks® commands—Select to search SolidWorks commands and their corresponding Creo commands.
TOOLKIT commands — Select to search for TOOLKIT commands on the ribbon and Quick Access toolbar.
Mapkeys — Select to search for mapkeys on the ribbon or Quick Access toolbar.
Search in help text — Select to search in tooltips.
Match case — Select to search only for commands that match the case of the word or the phrase that you typed. For example, if you search for Annotation, the result includes Annotation but not annotation.
Match criteria — Allows you to further refine the search. Select one of the following criteria.
Any word beginning with — Searches for commands beginning with the string specified in the Command Search box.
Contain — Searches for commands that contain the string specified in the Command Search box.
End with — Searches for commands that end with the string specified in the Command Search box.
3. Click OK and type a command name in the box. As you start typing, the command names that match the search criteria are listed.
4. Place your pointer over a command in the list. Creo Parametric displays the command tooltip and a preview of the command location on the interface. The location is indicated by a different background color.
5. Click a command in the list to execute it and close the list.
