To Copy an Instance to the Generic Model

This procedure permanently deletes the generic and replaces it with the values of the instance; you can not undo the change. If you click Cancel, the original generic is not restored.
1. Click Tools > Family Table. The Family Table dialog box opens.
2. Select an instance name.
3. Click Edit > Copy Instance to Generic.
