To Search for Annotation Elements
1. Click Tools > Find. The Search Tool dialog box opens.
2. Click the Attributes tab if it is not selected by default.
3. To search for annotation elements, select one of the following combination:
Annotation Element in the Look for list and the Look by list—Lists all annotation elements in the model.
Annotation in the Look for list and Annotation Element in the Look by list—Lists standalone annotations
Annotation Element in the Look for list and select annotation types, such as note, surface finish, geometric tolerance, ordinate reference dimensions, ordinate driven dimensions, driven dimensions, driving dimensions, set datum tags, or symbols in the Look by list—Lists the selected annotation type.
For example, if you select Set Datum Tag in the Look for list and Set Datum Tag in the Look by list, the search result displays all model set datum tag annotations. Alternatively, if you select Annotation Element in the Look for list and Set Datum Tag in the Look by list, the search result displays set datum tag annotation elements.
4. In the Rule section, select Type if you want to define a rule to build a query.
5. In the Criteria section, specify the criteria for the annotation element type.
6. Click Options > Build Query. The Query Builder section appears in the dialog box.
7. Click Add New. The query is added to the Rule Description column.
8. Select the rule criteria for the second annotation element type, if necessary.
9. Click Add New. The second query is added to the Rule Description column.
10. Click Find Now. The found items and corresponding locations are listed under items found in the Search Tool dialog box. The results are also highlighted on the Model Tree and in the graphics window.
11. Click to select and transfer items from items found to the items selected section.
12. Click Close.
