About Display of Shaded Edge
You can control the edge color compared to the surfaces to which they belong when shading objects using Shaded Edge in the Creo Parametric Options dialog box (File > Options > System Appearance > Graphics > Shaded Edge).
The transparency setting in the Appearances Manager influences the brightness of the edge color as follows:
If the color of the component does not contain transparency, then Creo displays color as defined by Shaded Edge.
If the color of the component contains transparency, but not 100% transparency , then Creo displays the color as defined by Shaded Edge dimmed by 50%.
If the component is 100% transparent, then Creo does not display any edges in the Shaded Edge mode.
