About Viewing a Model Normal to One or Two Directional References
Use the View Normal command to orient a model so that a directional reference you select is positioned normal to the screen. You can select one or two directional references for different effects:
One reference—The model rotates through the smallest possible angle when reorienting from the original view to the new view.

Two references—The model orients normal to the first reference, and the second reference is positioned horizontally. A choice of a second reference is available in the object-action workflow.
