To Create a CATPart CAD Document with CGR File as Secondary Content

Data Management > Data Management > Managing Heterogeneous CAD Data > CATIA-Centric HDIC > To Create a CATPart CAD Document with CGR File as Secondary Content

1. Open a part model and check in the model to Windchill as a CAD Document.

2. Set the following configuration options:

◦ hdic_export_v5_to_ws_enableyes

◦ hdic_export_v5_secondary_cgryes

3. Click File > Save As > Save a Copy and set Type to CATIA V5 CATPart (*.CATPart) in the Save a Copy dialog box to export the part to CATIA V5.

4. After the export, check in the CATPart file from the Workspace to the server.

5. In the Creo browser, open the Details page or the CAD Document Properties Page (CDPP) of the CATPart. The CATPart appears as the primary content CAD Document with the CGR file attached as its secondary content.

6. In the Creo browser, click Open In > Open in CATIA to open the CATPart file in CATIA V5.
