To Resolve the Import Validation Failure Notifications
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.
2. Click Notification Center in the left pane of the Creo Parametric Options dialog box.
3. Set Active Notification Pop-Up behavior toShow and stay on the Set options for Notification Center page.
4. Click OK in the Creo Parametric Options dialog box.
5. Import a part or assembly model or open a model that belongs to one of the supported formats.
If there are import validation failures:
The model notifications flag icon on the status bar highlights in red.
The model and the components with the validation failures highlight in red on the Model Tree.
6. Click the model notifications flag icon on the status bar. A window displays the number of notifications and the import validation failures of the model.
7. Click Open Notification Center in the notification window to open the Notification Center page and view the import validation failures of the model and its components. The Group by: list sets the display of the notifications according to their type.
To view the import validation failures of a component, right-click a component that is highlighted in red on the Model Tree, and click Notification Center on the resultant menu. The Group by: list sets the display of the validation failure notification by the name of the Model Tree object.
8. Reset the notification display as Type or Object from the Group by: list.
9. Click or on the top bar of the Notification Center to expand or collapse the list of notifications, respectively.
10. When a component model is missing, right click the model on the Model Tree or its notification represented by the yellow triangle in the Notification Center, and click Retrieve Missing Component. Browse and search for the missing component in the File Open dialog box.
11. Right-click import validation failures represented by the yellow triangle in the Notification Center and select one of the following options on the shortcut menu:
Report—Opens the Import Validation Report. Click Settings and edit the tolerance values of the mass properties or reset the severity of the import failure of a property from Error to Ignore.
Repair Imported Geometry—Opens the Import DataDoctor (IDD) tab. Analyze the defective geometry using the Diagnostics tool in IDD. Use the repair and heal options in IDD to resolve defects such as unsatisfied topological connections and tangency conditions and gaps and slivers.
Use Alternate Mass Properties—Designates the alternate mass properties when you want to resolve the validation property failures using alternate mass properties for the validation. Use this option when the mass property values of the source models, such as volume and surface area, show slight deviation from the maximum tolerance limits. The mass properties of the source model are compared with the designated alternate mass properties of the imported model.
Is mutually exclusive with Use Calculated Mass Properties. When selected, the Creo-calculated mass property values are used for import validation and is the default behavior.
Ignore Solidification Check—Ignores the solidification failure to indicate that you have accepted this model error.
Is mutually exclusive with Enable Solidification Check. When selected, this option restarts checking for solidification failures.
12. Click Close in the Notification Center.
