To Export a Drawing to CGM as a Publish Deliverable
1. Open a drawing and click File > Save As > Export. The Export Setup tab opens.
2. Click CGM on the Configure tab.
3. Click Settings to edit the export settings of the drawing. The Export CGM dialog box opens.
4. Click Abstract coordinates or Metric coordinates under Metafile in.
5. In File structure, select CLEARTEXT (ASCII file) or MILSPEC (binary file).
6. Click OK in the Export CGM dialog box to save the export settings.
7. Click Preview to preview the drawing and its export settings.
◦ If the drawing preview suits your requirements, you can proceed to the next step.
◦ If the drawing does not suit your requirements:
▪ Click Close Preview.
▪ Click Settings and again modify the export settings in the Export CGM dialog box.
▪ Preview the drawing again.
8. If the drawing preview suits your requirements, click Export. The Save a Copy dialog box opens with Type set to CGM (*.cgm).

You cannot change the file type.
9. Accept the default name in New file name or type a new file name for the export.
10. Browse and select a folder for the exported drawing.
11. Click OK in the Save a Copy dialog box to export the drawing as a CGM (*.cgm) publish deliverable.
12. Click Close Export Setup on the Done tab.
About CGM Files
