To Export a Part or Assembly to CADDS 5

Data Exchange > Interface > Working with Data Exchange Formats > CADDS 5 > Exporting to CADDS 5 > To Export a Part or Assembly to CADDS 5

1. Click File >

Save As >

Save a Copy. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.

2. Select CADDS5 in the Type box. The model name without the extension appears in the File name box.

3. Accept the default name or type a new model name in the File name box.

4. Click Options in the Save a Copy dialog box to customize the export profile options. The CADDS5 Export Profile Settings profile editor opens.

5. Click Load Profile and select a stored CADDS 5 export profile in the Open export profile dialog box from the profiles directory or customize the export settings in the CADDS5 Export Profile Settings profile editor.

6. Click OK in CADDS5 Export Profile Settings.

7. Click OK in the Save a Copy dialog box. The part or assembly is exported to CADDS 5 in the Explicit format.
