To Export a Part or Assembly to ACIS
1. Open a part or assembly.
2. Click File > Save As > Save a Copy. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.
3. Select ACIS File (*.sat) in the Type box.
4. Accept the default name in the File name box or type a new model or assembly name for the export.
5. Click Options in the Save a Copy dialog box to customize the export profile options. The ACIS Export Profile Settings profile editor opens.
6. Click Load Profile and select a stored export profile specific to the ACIS format in the Open export profile dialog box from the profiles directory or customize the export settings in the ACIS Export Profile Settings profile editor.
7. Click OK in ACIS Export Profile Settings.
8. Click OK in the Save a Copy dialog box to export the model or select the Customize Export check box before you click OK to select layers and coordinate system for the exported model.
If you selected the Customize Export check box, the Export ACIS dialog box opens.
9. Click Customize layers in the Export ACIS dialog box. The Choose Layers dialog box opens.
10. Set the layer export status of a single layer or multiple layers and click OK in the Choose Layers dialog box.
11. Use the default coordinate system or select a coordinate system for the part or assembly.
12. Click Export on the Export ACIS dialog box. The part or the assembly model is exported to the ACIS format using the ACIS export profile options and the layers and coordinate system selected in the Export ACIS dialog box.
