About In-Session and Direct Import and Export to VRML
Exporting parts and assemblies to the VRML format produces a database of VRML files that contain assembly structure, part and assembly names, and geometrical data representing Creo parts.
It is recommended that you use the in-session export to accommodate maximum model detail.
You can export part and assembly files into VRML 1.0, VRML 2.0, and the ISO Standards file format directly using > or in-session with > > .
You can import VRML 1.0, VRML 2.0, and the ISO Standards file format assembly files using the > command. Use the > > command to append VRML parts to the existing parts. You can use the > > command to assemble VRML models as part and assembly components of Creo assemblies. If you are importing formatted assemblies, merge the assemblies before they are converted as part files.
You can view VRML in Fly-Through and Pro/Model.View products and in other viewers complying with the VRML 1.0, VRML 2.0, and the ISO Standards specifications. To export assembly surfaces, quilts, and welding features to the VRML format, the
shade_surface_feat configuration option must be set to the default value
yes.
VRML 2.0 supports "Moving World" through the design animation package.
