About Referencing the non-Creo Data of Multi-CAD Assemblies
You can assemble Autodesk Inventor, CATIA V4 and V5, SolidWorks, NX, and Creo Elements/Direct part and assembly models in Creo assemblies to complete the structure of the assemblies. You can then use the non-Creo and Creo Elements/Direct data for downstream applications as follows:
Create references to the non-Creo and Creo Elements/Direct data in drawings.
Reference the data to create manufacturing drawings, cavities, and animations of the assembly explosions.
Add data using Creo applications for use in the applications, such as the inclusion of Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) in annotations. The PMI data is for use only in Creo to convey manufacturing information when you use manufacturing drawings.
Use the data for model analysis that includes the calculation of mass properties, measure distance between the Creo models and the non-Creo models, and interference checks.
