About Accessing Associative Topology Bus (ATB) Functionality
After you import ATB-enabled part and assembly models to Creo Parametric, you can access the ATB functionality of Check Status, Update, Change Link, Make Independent, Read Graphics, and Read Master from:
Model > Operations > ATB
The shortcut menu that appears when you select a Translated Image Model (TIM) or an ATB-enabled feature on the Model Tree and right-click.
The tool bar that you can customize with icons representing the ATB functions.
*
The ATB functionality is not available if you select a feature or model that is not ATB-enabled from the Model Tree or a combination of ATB-enabled features and independent features and parts that are not ATB-enabled.
When the ATB-enabled features or TIMs and independent features and parts that are not ATB-enabled exist in the selection buffer, you can perform the ATB functions using Model > Operations > ATB or the ATB icons from the customized toolbar. The ATB action is performed only on the ATB-enabled features and TIMs.
You can access information about the TIMs and the ATB-enabled features from Info > ATB Info on the shortcut menu that appears when you select a TIM or an import feature in the Model Tree and right-click.
The Customize layers option is available if you clear the default selection of the Enable ATB option in the Import New Model or the File dialog box when you import part and assembly models that belong to file formats that support ATB. You can then select layers and set their import status in the Layer Import Options dialog box.
Iconic Representations on the Model Tree
You can perform Update and Change Link functions based on the color of the icons that represent the TIMs or the ATB-enabled features in the Model Tree. The colors represent the status of the TIMs and the ATB-enabled features in the Model Tree as explained:
Red—The TIMs or the ATB-enabled features are out-of-date and require update.
Blue—The TIMs or the ATB-enabled features are up-to-date.
Yellow—The TIMs or the ATB-enabled features have missing links because the reference model is missing from the designated search path.
