To Create a Configurable Product from an Existing Assembly
1. Open the assembly to save as a configurable product.
2. Click > > 
Save as Configurable Product. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.
Save as Configurable Product. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.3. Type a name for the assembly and click OK. The Assembly Save as Configurable Product Component Chooser dialog box opens.
4. Select a component in the Chooser Tree or select the cell in the Action column and choose an option.
◦ Save a Copy—Saves a copy of the component.
◦ Reuse—Reuses the component in the configurable product.
◦ Save as Configurable Product—Saves the component as a configurable product. The top-level assembly is always saved as a configurable product.
5. Click Save Copy.
