To Define a Component Interface Template
1. In an open assembly, click Component Interface. The COMPONENT INTERFACE dialog box opens.
2. Accept the default name or enter a new one in the Interface Name box.
3. To use a predefined placement set, choose an Interface Template from the list. Select references for each of the predefined constraints.
4. Choose a type from the Placement/Receiving Interface list:
Either—A receiving or placing interface
Receiving—A receiving assembly interface
Placing—A placing component interface
5. Use the tabs to define the current interface Properties and Criteria.
6. Click OK. A placing interface is displayed in the Model Tree Footer in the Interfaces folder. A receiving interface appears in the Model Tree.
