To Reuse a Connector Element or Equipment Element
1. Select the connector or equipment element to reuse following either of the methods listed below:
◦ Click Framework and then in the Components group, click > 
Reuse Component. The Reuse Component dialog box opens and the Component to Reuse box is activated. In the model, select a connector or equipment element to reuse or click 
to open the Open dialog box, and then select the connector or equipment element to reuse.
Reuse Component. The Reuse Component dialog box opens and the Component to Reuse box is activated. In the model, select a connector or equipment element to reuse or click to open the Open dialog box, and then select the connector or equipment element to reuse.◦ Select a connector or equipment element in the model. Click Framework and then in the Components group, click > Reuse Component or on the mini toolbar click . The Reuse Component dialog box opens.

◦ Existing instance 
—Reassembles the connector or equipment element at another location
—Reassembles the connector or equipment element at another location◦ Copy of an existing instance 
—Assembles a copy of the connector or equipment element
—Assembles a copy of the connector or equipment element3. Click Next. If a copy of an existing instance is to be assembled, the Copy Component Definition dialog box opens.
4. If the Copy Component Definition dialog box opens, you can change names as described below:
◦ In the Name box, you can change the name of the copied component.
◦ Under Components, you can select a check box under Copy and then change the name for the selected subcomponent.
Click OK to complete the copy. The Element Definition dialog box opens.
5. Select the references and enter placement dimensions if required.
