Backing Up Customized Template Files
You can back up customized template files.
User Interface Location: When installing the update, select the Back up modified files during installation check box.

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
In previous releases when upgrading, customized template files, such as the config.pro, are overwritten. In Creo 6.0.0.0, you can select the Back up modified files during installation check box, during installation, to automatically perform a backup. The files and folders that are backed up and restored during a maintenance release update, are in the list that follows:
Files—config.pro, config.sup, config.sup, creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui, menu_def.pro, protk.dat
Folders in the \Common folder—creo_standards, demos, CustomLoad, formats, graphic-library, intudfs, manikin_lite, mfg_cmdsyn, mfg_cmdsyn_ai , symbols, tol_tables
Folders in the \Common files\text folder—3d-printing-materials,aec_data, annot_plane, bend_tables, cabling_data, center_drills, crosshatch, drills, fonts, Hole, intf_configs, lattice_template, materials-library, ncmdl_data, piping_data, plot_config, probes, Render, sketcher_palette, smm_parts, smm_tools, smt, smt_clamps, table, xsec_xhatch, tol_tables
