Turbulent Flow in Diffuser: Exercise 4—Assigning Boundary Conditions
Specifying Inlet Boundary Conditions
1. Under Boundary Conditions, General Boundaries select inlet.
2. In the Model tab select the following values for the options listed:
FlowSpecified Velocity
Velocity—18.06,0,0 m/s
Specifying Outlet Boundary Conditions
1. Under Boundary Conditions select outlet.
2. In the Model tab select the following values for the options listed:
FlowSpecified Pressure Outlet
Pressure—0 Pa
Specifying Volume Conditions
1. Under Domains, select Diffuser.
2. To set the fluid, click Materials. The Material Selection dialog box opens. The fluid properties are set automatically when you select a new fluid.
3. For fluid domain Diffuser select air.
4. Click OK.
5. In the Properties panel, Model tab, set the following:
For Common, under Density set the value to 1.15758 kg/m3
For Flow, set Viscosity to 1.8406e-05 Pa-s
