Cyclone Separator with Particle Separation: Exercise 2—Defining Physics Modules
Physics specifications are handled in Creo Flow Analysis using modules.
1. In the Flow Analysis Tree, right-click Physics and select Select Physical Models. or click Physics Module. The Physical Model Selection dialog box opens.
2. Under Available Modules, select Turbulence and click
3. Under Available Modules, select Particle and click . Do this step twice.
4. Click Close to close the Physical Model Selection dialog box.
Specifying Flow Module Conditions
1. In the Flow Analysis Tree, under Physics select Flow.
2. In the Model tab, set Gravity force to Yes and under g, set Y to -9.8 m/s2
Specifying Light Particle Module Conditions
1. In the Flow Analysis Tree, under Physics select Particle.
2. In the Model tab, set the following values for the options listed:
Particle TypeHas Mass
Particle Density — 10
Gravity force Yes
Under g, set Y to -9.8 m/s2
Specifying Heavy Particle Module Conditions
1. In the Flow Analysis Tree, under Physics select Particle01.
2. In the Model tab, set the following values for the options listed:
Particle TypeHas Mass
Particle Density — 2000
Gravity forceYes
Under g, set Y to -9.8 m/s2
