Comparing Surface Edits with the Original
Use the following methods to compare your edits with the original surface:
• Point Cloud—You can apply a point cloud to the surface before editing, and it retains the original shape during surface editing. You can enter row and column values to adjust point cloud density. The default resolution is 100 x 100, but the number of rows or columns can range from 20 to 200. The values do not have to be equal.
• Original Control Mesh—After you edit a surface, you can display the original surface mesh. The original mesh is added to the other display settings; it does not override the other options you have chosen.
• Edited Surface Display—You can display the surface you are editing as transparent or opaque.
