The Damper user interface consists of subtabs, a feature tab, and shortcut menus. A damper is represented by on the Mechanism Tree. Click to create or edit a damper. Click a tab to review the properties of an existing damper.
Tabs
• References—Displays the damper placement references.
• Properties—Displays the damper name. Click to open feature information in the browser.
Commands
• —Sets the damper type to extension or compression.
• —Sets the damper type to torsion.
• —Sets the damping coefficient.
You can enter a value for the damping coefficient or select a value from the list of most recently used values. The selected value appears in the adjacent box.
Shortcut Menus
Right-click a damper in the Mechanism Tree or in the graphics window to access these feature-specific commands:
• Clear—Clears the reference collector.
• Extension/Compression—Sets the damper type to extension or compression.
