Initial Condition and State
Initial Condition and State
In the Flow Analysis Tree, under Domains, select a fluid domain to see the Initial Condition and State in the Properties panel.
Initial Condition
Initial Condition refers to the values of the independent variables required to start a simulation when you select Start from Initial Values in the Run group. If you select Start from Solution or Continuation Run to start a simulation, the values set for Initial Condition under Volume are not used.
• Specified Value—Specifies the initial mass fraction of a selected component in a selected volume. You can also use Expression Editor to set the values.
State
Setting the State of a Volume to Blanked for the Multicomponent Mixing module is equivalent to freezing its initial value. The State of a selected volume is independent of its state in other modules. For example, if you set the Flow module to Blanked which makes a volume solid, this does not blank the solution for the Multicomponent Mixing module.
