About Snook Lifting or Lowering Analysis Results
Use the results of a Snook analysis to evaluate the following aspects of a design:
• The design goal—For all Snook analyses (carrying, lifting, pushing, and so forth), the goal is to accommodate 75% of the female population.
• The applied load—Should be equal to or less than the design goal.
• Percentage of acceptability—Shows the percentage of the population (male and female) who can safely perform the task.
A Snook analysis uses the default parameters and the posture of the manikin to calculate the most acceptable design goal for a given scenario. After values are entered for the current load, the analysis compares them with current load and defines the broadest level of compliance for men and women.
