About Manikin Models, Scenarios, and Snapshots
There are three types of standard Creo Parametric entities that are used in Creo Manikin:
• Design scenario—A representation of a work area as designed by a Creo Parametric user.
• Manikin model—An accurate digital representation of a person of a specific gender and nationality. Each manikin model has been assigned a percentile value within its ethnic or national group. A manikin model is a standard Creo Parametric assembly that cannot be changed during a Creo Manikin session, but can be manipulated and positioned within the design scenario.
• Snapshots—Captures all the active constraints on the manikin in a specific position within the design scenario. The snapshot can then be used in an analysis.
These entities are used to explore human-centric designs to optimize product usability and ensure conformance to safety and health guidelines in both product and workplace.
The following steps describe a typical Creo Manikin workflow:
1. Create or open a design scenario.
2. Insert a manikin from the manikin library.
3. Position the manikin.
4. Create snapshots.
5. Run an analysis.
6. Evaluate the results.
