About Searching for Creo NC Items
In Face or Profile milling sequences, you can search for items specific to Creo NC by setting the smart selection filter in the graphics window to one of the following options:
• Mill Window (Face milling sequences only)
• Mill Surface Surface
• Mill Volume Surface
• Reference Model Surfaces
• Mill Surface
• Mill Volume
• Step (Profile milling sequences only)
• Reference Model
• Workpiece
• Fixture
• Turn Profile (Turning sequences only)
These options are also available under
Look for in the
Search Tool dialog box. To open this dialog box, click
Tools >
Find. If you select one of these options in the smart selection filter,
Look for in the
Search Tool dialog box is automatically set to the selected option.
For Mill Window or Step, you can only select a single item in the collector.
You can use Mill Window, Mill Surface, Mill Volume, and Step to search for features, Mill Surface Surface and Mill Volume Surface to search for surfaces, and Reference Model and Workpiece to search for parts.
When searching for surfaces, if you set the smart selection filter to All, Creo NC searches for surfaces, quilts, and models and lists them in that order. If multiple surfaces exist, then Creo NC searches for assembly feature surfaces, assembly quilt surfaces, and model surfaces and lists them in that order.
In the Attributes tabbed page of the Search Tool dialog box, the Value list shows only features without spaces in their names.
In CMM, you can search for features by setting Look for to Step or Operation, or search for parts by setting Look for to Reference Model or Fixture.
You can also search for operations in the Search Tool dialog box.
