To Hatch and Fill Closed Shapes
1. Select one or more closed shapes.
2. On the
Design tab, click
Hatching & Fill. The
Hatching & Fill tab opens and the previously used properties for hatching and fill are applied to the selected shapes.
3. Click
Fill and select a color or click
More Colors to apply a custom color for the fill.
4. To define no hatching or no fill for the closed shape, choose No Hatch from the library of hatching or No Fill from the Fill color gallery.
5. To modify the hatching and fill properties, perform any of these operations:
a. Select the hatching and fill to modify.
b. On the Hatching & Fill tab, select a different type of hatching from the library.
c. Set the angle and scale of the hatching.
d. Click
Color and select a hatch color from the gallery or click
More Colors for a custom color.
e. Click
Fill and select a fill color from the gallery or click
More Colors for a custom color.
f. Move the slider to set the transparency of the fill.
6. To exit the Hatching and Fill tool and close the Hatching & Fill tab, click middle-click or press ESC.
7. To show or hide the hatching and fill, click or clear the Hatching & Fill check box on the View tab.
