About Text Wrapping
Creo Parametric supports text wrapping for the drawing entities such as, notes, tables, and repeat regions. It also supports text wrapping for string parameters in tables and notes.
The text wrapping is first done by words, until there is only one word left in the text line. If you further reduce the width of a text box or a column to less than a word in a line, the text wrapping is done between the characters of a word.
|
Ensure that the minimum width of the text box or a column should accommodate a single character plus any padding defined.
|
Notes are text wrapped by default. If you add or delete any text from a note, the width of the text box remains the same. However, the height of the text box changes to accommodate the updated text.
Text Wrapping in Tables
When you apply text wrapping to the entire table, the table text will update according to the current width of each column of the table. However, if the row height is not sufficient to accommodate the updated wrapped text, the text in the table cells can overlap other table cells. You can control the height of table row by using the
Automatic height adjustment option on the
Height and Width dialog box. On the
Table tab, click
Height and Width. The
Height and Width dialog box opens.
Select the Automatic height adjustment option to automatically adjust the height of the row to accommodate entire content of the row. The Automatic height adjustment option is effective when you perform any of the following operations:
• Apply text wrap for table column or a cell in a row.
• Adjust the column width.
• Update a table.
• Modify properties of the cell to accommodate more or less rows.
• Modify the report parameter of a cell.
To wrap the table text, you can use the Wrap Text option on the Height and Width dialog box, or select the table, right click and click the Wrap Text command on the shortcut menu.
