Cache conversion takes place when you invoke a later release of a Creo application and your local database cache is from an earlier release of the application.

During this conversion, the cache of your previous workspace is copied and upgraded to the latest cache format.

If this conversion is successful, a message appears in the Event Manager informing you that the upgrade of cached objects was completed successfully and that the saved or cached data for the previous workspace is now upgraded to another cache.
