To Specify Security Settings for the PDF Export
1. Open a file, click
File >
Save As >
Save a Copy and specify
PDF (*.pdf) as the file type for export in the
Save a Copy dialog box. The
PDF Export Settings dialog box opens.
2. Click the Security tab on the PDF Export Settings dialog box to specify security settings for the PDF output file and perform viewer operations on the PDF document.
3. Click Require a password to open the document to set a security to open the PDF document. If this option is not selected, anyone can open the PDF document.
4. Type a password and confirm it in the boxes that are available when you click Require a password to open the document.
5. Click Restrict Viewer Operations to customize the security settings for a person who views the files.
6. To set the allowable printing resolution, select High Resolution or Low Resolution from the box. High Resolution is set by default.
7. Click Allow changing the document to allow a person viewing the document to make the following types of changes:

8. Specify a password in the Master Password box and confirm it so that only you can perform the restricted viewer operations on the PDF document or modify the accessibility of the corresponding options.
9. Click OK on the PDF Export Settings dialog box. The file is exported with your security settings.
