About Disabling Import Validation in a Session at the Model Level
If import validation is enabled by default for the Creo session, you can disable the validation of models after their import to Creo or after you have opened the non-native models using the Creo Unite technology, while the imported or opened models are in session. To disable the import validation of a part or assembly model or an assembly component, right-click the imported or opened model or a assembly component in the Model Tree and click Import Validation > Disable Import Validation.
When you disable import validation at the model level, Enable Import Validation is the only command available on the Import Validation menu. The following commands are not available:
• Report
• Repair Imported Geometry
• Use Alternate Mass Properties or Use Calculated Mass Properties
• Ignore Solidification Check or Enable Solidification Check
When you disable import validation at the model level, the following also occurs:
• The validation failures, errors, and warnings of the model or component are removed from the Notification Center and are not reported for new models.
• Disabling the import validation of an assembly component is not recursive in an imported or opened assembly model. As a result, the assembly model consists of a mix of components, with import validation individually enabled or disabled at the component level.
• When import validation is disabled at the component level, and the components fail, their validation failures are not reported to the Notification Center. Therefore, the parent assembly may also fail.
As a result of disabling import validation, you cannot perform the following remedial tasks:
• Access Import DataDoctor (IDD) to repair defective or incomplete geometry.
• Use alternate or calculated mass properties to calculate the validation score.
• Ignore the solidification failure of parts.
To restore and access all commands on the Import Validation menu, right-click the imported or opened model or the component of an imported or opened assembly, and select Import Validation > Enable Import Validation.
