To Freeze a Surface
1. Select one or more surfaces or components in the graphics window or on the Geometry and Topology Structure Tree.
2. Click Constrain > Freezing > Freeze. Alternatively, right-click and click Freeze. The selected surface is frozen and an icon is displayed on the surface to indicate that the surface is frozen. If you selected a component, all surfaces in the component are frozen.
 
• The surface or surfaces are not completely frozen; the Repair tool may modify their boundaries to repair gaps.
• One or more selected surfaces or surfaces of the selected component may already be frozen. In this case, only the non-frozen surfaces in the selection buffer are frozen.
