To Add to Wireframe
1. Select one or more UV-curves, gaps, or slivers.
|
You cannot add gaps and slivers to the wireframe at the same time.
|
2. Click
Constrain >
Wireframe >
Add to Wireframe. Alternatively, right-click in the graphics window and click
Add to Wireframe.
◦ If you add UV-curves to wireframe, wireframe pieces that display in blue are created from the selected curves and the curves are no longer displayed. The surface or surfaces that own the UV-curves are split at the boundaries of the newly added wireframe.
| The split at the boundaries of the newly added wireframe exists only in the IDD environment. It is removed or established again when you exit IDD environment or enter IDD environment again, respectively. UV-curves are only successfully added to the wireframe if they divide the surfaces that own them into two or more distinct pieces so that valid splits are created. |
◦ If you add gaps to wireframe, wireframe pieces that display in black are created and the geometry remains unaffected.
◦ If you add slivers to wireframe, the sliver surfaces are removed from the geometry. Wireframe pieces that display in black are created for the gaps that are left after removing the sliver surfaces.
| Once you add gaps and slivers to the wireframe, there is no distinction between them. For both, wireframe pieces display in black and represent unjoined, one-sided edge pairs. |
