To Define Slivers Using the Define Slivers Tool
1. Click
Structure >
Gaps/Slivers >
Define Sliver. The
Define Slivers dialog box opens.
SLIVER0001 is displayed on the left of the dialog box and the primary collector,
Surfaces, becomes active.
2. Select a surface that contains slivers. The selected surface is added to the Surfaces collector and the edges that correspond to the sliver are automatically added to the Side 1 and Side 2 collectors of the Define Slivers dialog box.
| • To select more than one surface, hold down the CTRL key and select the surfaces in the graphics window. • In some cases, it may be necessary to manually select the edges representing the sides of the sliver. You may also edit the sides that are automatically selected. |
3. To add a new sliver, click New Sliver in the Define Slivers dialog box and select the sliver surface in the graphics window. You can also right-click in the graphics window and click New Sliver on the shortcut menu to create a new sliver.
4. To remove a sliver surface, select the surface in the Surface collector, right-click, and click Remove on the shortcut menu.
5. Click Add to Wireframe to add the new gap to the wireframe.
6. Click OK on the Define Slivers dialog box.
