About the Trim User Interface
The Trim user interface consists of:

The Feature Icon
The Trim tool is identified by
on the
Edit tab. To access the Trim tool, select the surface or curve to trim and click
Edit >
Trim on the
Import DataDoctor ribbon tab.
The Surface Trim Tab
The Surface Trim tab consists of:
The Trimming object collector—Lets you add or remove trimming object references such as surfaces, curve chains, or datum planes.
—Flips between one side, other side, or both sides of the trimmed surface to be retained.
—Trims the quilt using the silhouette option with the view direction normal to the reference plane.
Tabs within the Surface Trim Tab
The Surface Trim tab contains the References tab. This tab contains the following options:
• The Trimmed quilt collector—Enables you to add or remove quilts to be trimmed.
• The Trimming object collector—Enables you to add or remove trimming object references such as surfaces, curve chains, or datum planes.
• Swap—Determines which side of the trimmed quilt retains the trimmed quilt ID. Swap is available only when the trimming directions are on both sides.
• Details—Displays the Chain dialog box and enables you to review and edit the chain properties.
