About Associative Topology Bus Capabilities
Associative Topology Bus (ATB) capabilities are enabled by default when you import file formats such as Autodesk Inventor, CATIA V4 and V5, NX, SolidWorks, Creo Elements/Direct, Neutral, CADDS 5, CDRS, and ICEM to Creo. The Enable ATB option shows default selection on the Import New Model and the File dialog boxes and the import profile in use when you import these file formats to Creo.
If you clear the selection of the Enable ATB option when you import part and assembly models that belong to file formats that support ATB, the imported models are not ATB enabled. You cannot use the ATB functionality on the imported models.
With ATB you can:
• Import an Autodesk Inventor, CADDS 5, CATIA, CDRS, ICEM, NX, Neutral, SolidWorks, Creo Elements/Direct, or Granite-based model into Creo.
• Change the representation of the TIM assemblies and subassembly components in Creo from structure to graphic or master.
• Create Creo geometry by referencing the geometry of the imported components.
• Check the status, manually or automatically, of a single or ATB-enabled import feature or all the TIMs and ATB-enabled import features before updating the imported geometry.
• Change the links of the TIMs or the ATB-enabled features that have a 'missing reference' status.
• Update TIMs or ATB-enabled features that are manually or automatically identified as out-of-date.
• Break the association between a TIM or the ATB-enabled feature and the original reference model if this association is not required.
