To Define Collision Detection Settings
You can set the playback to include collision detection, its level, and how it is displayed when the result set is played back.
1. Click > >

3. Set the level of collision detection during playback:
◦ No collision detection—No collision detection is performed, dragging is smooth even in case of a collision.
◦ Global collision detection—Collisions are detected throughout the assembly and are displayed as defined by the option chosen.
◦ Partial collision detection—Type the names of the parts to check for collision.
These settings are supported only for Drag and Playback operations and are not applied during Motion Analysis or Mechanism Analysis.
4. Select Include quilts to include surfaces as a part of the collision check when the highlight_interfering_volumes configuration option is set to Yes.
5. Select Optional settings to choose settings for each type of collision detection. These settings are available only for Partial collision detection or Global collision detection.
 | • Changing the Optional settings may cause very large assemblies to freeze. • When you select Sound warning upon collision, a warning bell sounds upon collision. When you select Stop animation playback upon collision, playback stops upon collision. These options are available only when the enable_advance_collision configuration option is set to Yes. • The optional settings are not applied during analyses. However, the collision related results are still generated as part of the analysis output. The Results table can report whether a collision was detected and which parts collided. In addition, interfering geometry can be visually highlighted as part of the analysis results, allowing you to see colliding volumes without enabling advanced collision options. • You can also configure collision detection settings from the Playbacks dialog box. |
6. Click OK.
