Create a Spring—Helical Sweep
Add material by moving a section along a helical trajectory.
Sketch the axis of revolution and the helix profile
1. On the References tab, click Define.
2. Select the sketch plane and click Sketch.
3. In the Datum group click > 
Centerline, and sketch the axis of revolution.

1. On the Helical Sweep tab, click 
Sketch.
Sketch.2. At the sweep start point (crosshair intersection), sketch a section to sweep along the trajectory. The sweep section, the helix profile, and the crosshair intersection should all be on the same side of the axis of revolution.
3. Click OK to complete the sweep section sketch.
