Configuration Options for Flexible Modeling
About Configuration Options
You can preset environment options and other global settings by entering the settings you want in a config.pro configuration file.
To set configuration options, click > to open a dialog box, and then click Configuration Editor.
The configuration options for this module are listed in alphabetical order. Each option contains the following information:
• Configuration option name.
• Default and available variables or values. The default value is followed by an asterisk (*).
• Brief description.
Set the options you require before you start working. See the related topic “To Set Configuration Options” for detailed information on using the Configuration Editor to change, add, or search for configuration options.
enable_remove_notifications
yes*, no
Opens a notification dialog box when the result of a Remove feature creates a surface with a flipped normal, an intersection with non-adjacent geometry, or geometry check errors.
yes*—Notification is automatically sent.
no—Notification is not sent.
flex_dflt_selection_srf_region
yes*, no
Sets the default selection filter option to Surface Regions in Creo Flexible Modeling.
no—Does not set the default selection filter option to Surface Regions.
yes—Sets the default selection filter option to Surface Regions.
flex_dma_reduce_solution_number
yes*, no
Reduces the number of default solutions found in Creo Flexible Modeling features, when modifying geometry with mixed convexity contours.
no—Reduces the number of default solutions.
yes—Does not reduce the number of default solutions.
flex_maintain_solution_topology
yes, no*
Defines the initial value for the Maintain solution topology check box in newly created Creo Flexible Modeling features.
no—Does not fail feature regeneration if the model changes, and the same solution type cannot be reconstructed.
yes—Fails feature regeneration if the model changes, and the same solution type cannot be reconstructed.
flex_tan_propagation_default
on, off*
Determines if tangency is automatically propagated.
on—Tangency is automatically propagated in all Creo Flexible Modeling features that support it.
off*—Tangency is not automatically propagated. Tangency propagation needs to be explicitly selected.
propagate_by_default
yes, no*
Determines if a propagation feature is automatically selected.
yes—The Creo Flexible Modeling feature automatically identifies, collects, and propagates a pattern/symmetry/mirror feature when it exists in the part.
no*—The Creo Flexible Modeling feature does not automatically collect a propagation reference. It needs to be explicitly selected.
