To Create a Mill Window
1. Click Manufacturing > Mill Window. The Mill Window tab opens.
2. Click the appropriate icon to indicate the type of Mill Window that you want to create. You can create a silhouette window type (), sketch window (), or a chain window ().
3. For the Silhouette type, select the following options on the Placement tab:
Window Plane—Select the start plane for the Mill Window in the graphics window or on the Model Tree.
Silhouette reference model—Click the collector and select a reference part or bodies belonging to a single reference part for creating the silhouette.
Excluded bodies—Click the collector and select bodies of the selected reference part to exclude them from the mill window. This collector is active only if you have selected a part having multiple bodies as a reference.
Keep inside loops—Select this checkbox to keep the loops (through cuts or holes) of the reference part used to create the silhouette.
4. For the Sketch type, select a window plane on the Placement tab and then, define a closed contour internal sketch using Sketch.
5. For the Chain type, select a window plane and then, select edges or curved chains that form closed contour on the Placement tab.

You can select edges from adjoining multiple bodies to form a chain.
6. On the Depth tab, specify the depth of the Mill Window using the available options. See About the Mill Window User Interface for details.
7. On the Options tab, specify the type of window contour for the Mill Window. You can stretch or shrink the Mill Window geometry by specifying an offset value and direction. You can also specify the geometry type for the Mill Window using the options on this tab. See About the Mill Window User Interface for details.
8. Click to create the Mill Window.
