Prescribed Temperature Boundary Condition—Generative Design
A prescribed temperature is a thermal boundary condition that fixes the temperature of certain geometry of your model. Use this boundary condition to set the temperature of selected references. The temperature is applied uniformly to the references.
To Define a Prescribed Temperature Boundary Condition
1. After you create a new thermal study, click Boundary Conditions > Temperature. The Prescribed Temperature dialog box opens.
2. Specify a Name for the boundary condition or accept the default name. Optionally, click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon and the distribution.
3. Select surfaces to which you want to apply this boundary condition. Your selections appear in the reference collector.
4. In the Temperature box, specify a real number, arithmetic expression or parameter name for the temperature.
5. Select the unit of temperature from the list.
6. Click OK to create and save the boundary condition.
