To Join Segments
1. In an open board part, on the Model tab, click > . The Join tab opens.
2. In the Placement tab, the Segments collector is active. Select the segments to join.
3. When you are joining segments that are not intersecting, click the Extend Edges collector. Select edges from one segment to be extended to the other segment. Select an edge or edges on the second segment to place the extended segments.
4. To flip the portion of the segments to join, click
First Wall to flip the portion of the first segment, or click
Second Wall to flip the portion of the second segment.
5. To change the way selected edges are extended, click one of the following options:
◦ Along boundary edges—Extend selected edges along the edge boundary.
◦ Normal to selected edges—Extend normal to selected edges.
6. To add a bend at the segment intersection, click

and set the value of the bend radius and bend location:
◦ 
—dimensions the radius from the outside surface of the segment.
◦ 
—dimensions the radius from the inside surface of the segment.
◦ 
—dimensions the radius according to the location controlled by the
BOARD_RADIUS_SIDE parameter.
7. To change the default bend relief, click Relief. The Relief tab opens. Select a relief type.
For Rectangular and Obround reliefs, type values for the relief depth, relief angle, and relief width.
8. For non-intersecting portions of the segments, click Options. The Options tab opens. Click the check box and select one of these options:
◦ Up to bend—Trims the segments up to the bend. This option is available only when you add a bend at the segment intersection.
◦ Up to intersection line—Trims the segments up to their intersection.
Click Along intersection line to trim the nonintersecting portions of the segment along the intersection line.
