Trim Ply Boundary by Offset
1. Select a ply or a core to trim.
2. Click > 
Trim Ply. The Trim/Extend Ply tab opens. The boundary of the laminate object is highlighted in the graphics window.

By Offset if not selected by default.4. In the Boundary chains box, specify the chains to trim in one of the following ways:
◦ Select one or more edges and chains from the highlighted boundary.
◦ Select the whole boundary as follows:
1. Select any edge of the ply or core boundary.
2. Press Shift and click inside the ply or core boundary.
A drag handle appears in the graphics window.
5. In the Value box, specify the desired distance to trim in one of the following ways:
◦ Type a positive value.
◦ Select from the menu of most recently used values.
◦ Use the drag handle to manually adjust the selected chains to a distance.
◦ Enter a relation or a parameter.
The same offset value is applied to all the selected chains.
6. Click
