The following enhancements are available for results:
• Vectors and direction field are now available for structural, thermal, modal, and fluid result types. The following figure shows a vector display for Von Mises stress results in a structure study. Displacement vectors are superimposed on the Von Mises stress result.
The following figure shows the direction field display of temperature results in a fluid study.
• Streamlines and particles are available for all result quantities in fluid studies where earlier they were only available for velocity. The following figure shows the particle display for pressure results for a fluid study. The particle display represents the velocity of the particles, superimposed on the pressure results.
• Animation and other options are available for all result quantities in fluid studies. Count, size and other particle options are available.
• Results can be plotted individually or in combination with other results—This means you can view particles, streamlines, and direction field together for a result quantity.
Benefits
This enhancement provides the following benefits:
• Post processing benefits for users
• Enhanced results provide clearer results. The following are some examples of the enhanced results:
◦ Temperature can be displayed as vectors
◦ Pressure can be displayed as particles
◦ Stresses can be displayed with direction field
