To Select Entities
Use the following methods for selecting geometry when the Style tab is open:
• To select an object, click it.
• To select multiple objects, do any of these actions:
◦ Hold down the CTRL key while you click objects.
◦ Select
Box in the selection filter, and drag a box around the objects.
▪ If you drag the box from left to right, then only the objects that are completely inside the box are selected.
▪ If you drag the box from right to left, then the objects that the box intersects are selected, even if only part of an object is inside the box. Does not apply to points.
◦ Select
Lasso in the selection filter, and left-click and drag the pointer to draw a closed loop around the objects.
For curves, curves that are completely inside the loop are selected.
◦ Select
Trace in the selection filter, and left-click and drag the pointer to draw a trace line to select objects.
• To clear the selection of an object that is selected, hold down the CTRL key and click it.
• To clear the selection of all objects, click anywhere in the graphics window except the object or objects.
• To delete multiple surfaces, hold down the CTRL key, click each surface, and press the DELETE key to delete all selected surfaces.
Using Selection to Move and Copy Curves
Use the following shortcuts to move and copy curves without translating, scaling, or rotating them:
• To move a selected curve freely, drag it.
• To move a selected curve parallel to the active datum plane, either along the horizontal direction only or along the vertical direction only, hold down the CTRL and ALT keys simultaneously while you drag the curve.
• To move a selected curve perpendicular to the active datum plane, hold down the ALT key while you drag the curve.
• To copy a selected curve, hold down the CTRL key and drag the curve. The copy is always linked to the original geometry that is being copied.
